With the current year quickly coming to a close, now is the time when many people start thinking about their New Year’s resolutions for the next year.

Whether your resolutions are related to work, health, or anything in between, Notion is a great tool for organizing your goals and tracking your progress.

Rather than using tons of different apps and tools to stay on track with New Year’s resolutions, try one of these Notion templates to more easily integrate your resolutions into your routine this coming year.

7 New Year’s Notion Templates

1) New Year’s Vision Board

New Year’s Vision Board

Notion’s New Year’s Vision Board template was made in collaboration with stock image site Unsplash. It allows you to visually organize your goals in a gallery, using photos and other inspirational imagery to keep you motivated.

For example, let’s say one of your healthy New Year’s resolutions is to drink 3+ liters of water each day. Start by creating a gallery card for the goal on the vision board, then select an image of a nice tall glass of refreshing-looking water to remind you to keep drinking H2O throughout your day.

Keep doing this for all your goals to create a complete vision board gallery for all your resolutions. Then, you can add more details to each individual gallery card as needed.

2) 2023 Yearly Goal Tracker

2023 Yearly Goal Tracker

The 2023 Yearly Goal Tracker Notion template is perfect for breaking up your yearly goals into more manageable quarterly goals and even smaller daily tasks.

For instance, if one of your New Year’s resolutions is to buy a car by the end of the year, you might set quarterly savings goals, then break those down further to specify how much you need to save bi-weekly or monthly.

There’s even an included habit tracker database that you can use to check specific tasks off your to-do list as you work on incorporating your resolutions into your daily routine.

3) New Year's Resolutions

New Year's Resolutions

This New Year’s Resolutions Notion template was inspired by a review system created by Notion expert Marie Poulin. It’s ideal for setting actionable goals with achievable timelines and keeping them at the top of your mind.

For example, if one of your New Year’s resolutions is to work out more, you could break that down into separate goals like “go to the gym 3 times a week” and “do yoga at home twice a week.”

By creating individual action items for your resolutions, it’s much easier to understand what you actually need to do to achieve your goals.

4) 2022 in Review

2022 in Review

The 2022 in Review Notion template was created by Webflow designer Joey Banks and focuses on looking back on the previous year’s accomplishments to reflect on them and find areas of your life where you did well or could improve.

Each section includes writing prompts for you to respond to with your thoughts and reflections, which can help you find things to be grateful for from the past year and give you inspiration for New Year’s resolutions to work on in the coming year.

Writing out what you learned from certain experiences you had over the last year might inspire you to apply those learnings to a project for the New Year, as an example.

5) Vision to Values

Vision to Values

The Vision to Values Notion template is a framework for companies to clearly define their ethos, purpose, and approach for the coming year. The template was designed by Executive Chairman of LinkedIn and Founding Partner of Next Play Ventures Jeff Weiner.

Use this Notion template to elaborate on key elements of your company, such as its vision, mission, strategies, priorities, value propositions, target audiences, objectives, culture, and values.

Even if you’ve defined these things before, they can (and probably should) change as your company grows and evolves, so writing them all out in Notion is a good way to refresh things for the New Year.

6) Notion’s Company Goals

Notion’s Company Goals

Notion’s Company Goals template is another Notion template you can use to set New Year’s resolutions and goals for your company and break them apart into smaller tasks with shorter timelines.

Doing this makes it easier to stay on top of daily tasks, track overall project progress, hold people accountable for their work, and boost the morale of employees by improving collaboration and working together efficiently towards common goals.

For example, you might decide that you want to launch a new website for your company this year — break this goal down into action items and assign owners who will be responsible for completing those items.

7) Synctera's Monthly Company Retro

Synctera's Monthly Company Retro

FinTech company Synctera developed this Monthly Company Retro template for Notion based on their experience running monthly retros in a fast-growing startup environment.

The template lets you reflect on what your team did well and what you could do better to help set priorities and keep improving workflows throughout the year.

For instance, if you decide that you need to improve the hiring process to hire more top talent in the New Year, you could make bringing more people, such as recruiters or new HR team members, into the hiring process a priority for the beginning of the year.

Wrapping Up

New Year’s resolutions are a great way to keep bettering yourself in both your personal and professional lives, but many people get overwhelmed with their new goals and have trouble keeping up with them.

Using one of these New Year’s Notion templates to manage and track all you or your company’s goals and tasks this next year is a great way to ensure you stay on top of them all and keep improving in all the areas you want to.
